I'm Not Going Back

This was a powerful piece I read today in a group I am apart of on Facebook & it goes with the word I heard yesterday in church about not going back. So I am not going back to my old way of life no matter what.

Look! The Lord will destroy the earth and leave it empty; He will ruin the surface of the land and scatter it's people. At that time the same thing will happen to everyone: to common people and priests, to slave masters, to women slaves and their women masters, to buyers and sellers, to those who borrow and those who lend, to bankers and those who owe the bank. The earth will be completely empty. The wealth will all be taken, because The Lord has commanded it. The earth will dry up and die; the world will grow weak and die; the great leaders in this land will become weak. The people of the earth have ruined it, because they do not follow God's teachings or obey God's laws or keep their agreement with God that was to last forever. So a curse will destroy the earth. The people of the world are guilty, so they will be burned up; ONLY A FEW WILL BE LEFT. Isaiah 24:1-23 Amen

Brothers and sisters we must obey God's rules, teachings, laws, and commands. Before we were born into this world God had already known what our lives would be like. Our lives were to immitate Christ. Some of us have chosen paths that God never designed for us to travel. We have left what God wants and have focused and what we want. This is called sin. Sin is a disease that dislocates us from God. It makes us blind to God's truth and has us stumbling as if we are drunk. God is waiting for us to change our wicked ways. I challenge you to send this message to EVERYONE in your email contacts list. We must hold one another accountable. As iron sharpen iron, man sharpens man. We must stop allowing our flesh to rule our bodies. We are the head and not the tail. God is going to punish this world because of sin. We must talk to people who are lost in sin. We were all lost at some point. There is a difference to being completely lost vs being saved and lost. We as Christians are held accountable for what we do. I encourage you to help me spread the Word of God, because the day will come when God will return and then it will be too late. I love everyone of you brothers and sisters in Christ. Let's make a difference in someone's life today. No more time for waiting on people, let's go and help them from sin. Amen

Moving

It's funny when you move, you seem to miss people who you never thought you would miss. I know that is what I am experiencing right now as I prepare to move. Moving humbles one's soul because I am experiencing something inside of me that makes me feel good about me moving. Thank God for all that I have and the opportunity to find a new place.

A Virtuous Woman

I just read my daily breadd for today and it spoke about a virtuous woman but it also said it could apply to a man as well who is trying to virtuous with God. However it made me think about her and how much I miss  her. Its crazy but too many things are happening that makes me miss her dearly and when I think I can move past her, I have a hard time because I want her. Still she exhibits many of these qualities and I am just glad I was able to meet her because I care for her daily and from briefly chatting with her, I know she is doing well as she is making the necessary changes to be a better person than she was while we dated and I am making just as many changes to be better. Thank God for that.

Proverbs 31:10-20 (New International Version)

10 [a] A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her
       and lacks nothing of value.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.
13 She selects wool and flax
       and works with eager hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
       bringing her food from afar.
 15 She gets up while it is still dark;
she provides food for her family
and portions for her servant girls.
 16 She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
 17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.
19 In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20 She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy.

A Creed

I read the following poem tonight and I decided I need to start living my creed no matter what else I do, I have to live my creed to God, my country and to mankind.

A Creed

I HOLD that when a person dies
His soul returns again to earth;
Arrayed in some new flesh-disguise
Another mother gives him birth.
With sturdier limbs and brighter brain
The old soul takes the road again.

Such is my own belief and trust;
This hand, this hand that holds the pen,
Has many a hundred times been dust
And turned, as dust, to dust again;
These eyes of mine have blinked and shown
In Thebes, in Troy, in Babylon.

All that I rightly think or do,
Or make, or spoil, or bless, or blast,
Is curse or blessing justly due
For sloth or effort in the past.
My life's a statement of the sum
Of vice indulged, or overcome.

I know that in my lives to be
My sorry heart will ache and burn,
And worship, unavailingly,
The woman whom I used to spurn,
And shake to see another have
The love I spurned, the love she gave.

And I shall know, in angry words,
In gibes, and mocks, and many a tear,
A carrion flock of homing-birds,
The gibes and scorns I uttered here.
The brave word that I failed to speak
Will brand me dastard on the cheek.

And as I wander on the roads
I shall be helped and healed and blessed;
Dear words shall cheer and be as goads
To urge to heights before unguessed.
My road shall be the road I made;
All that I gave shall be repaid.

So shall I fight, so shall I tread,
In this long war beneath the stars;
So shall a glory wreathe my head,
So shall I faint and show the scars,
Until this case, this clogging mould,
Be smithied all to kingly gold.

Growth

One of my best friends from college and me had a very intriguing conversation regarding the growth of people. However I read my bedside blessing afterwards and it said the following:

God uses an infinite of vehicles in the process of helping us grow. I do not know of any means that leads to instant growth. I've never met anyone who became instantly mature. It's a painstaking process that God takes us through, and it includes such things as waiting, failing, losing, and being misunderstood--each one calling for extra doses of perseverance.

Christian growth comes through hard-core, gutsy perseverance.

Apply your heart to discipline and your ears to words of knowledge. --Proverbs 23:12

Therefore it is clear to me that the only way for us to grow as Christians by having hard-core, gutsy perseverance no matter what. I must persevere through all things that come my way so I can achieve the goal that God has set forth for me. This is the only way to do that and I am thankful that God is helping me grow each and every day of my life. My Growth in life and with God occurs when I persevere through the bad and ugly just like it is good in order to see better and brighter days. This is what is expected.

Burnt Biscuits

I was forwarded the message below in an email and it related to my quest to figuring out love & I'm thankful for God each & every day I wake up because of the message & theme of burnt biscuits meaning to accept the good, the bad and the ugly in all relationships in life.

Burnt Biscuits
When I was a kid, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then.

And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work.

On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad. I remember
Waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad
Did was reach for his biscuit, smile at my mom
And ask me how my day was at school.. I don't
Remember what I told him that night, but

I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that biscuit and eat every bite!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my
Dad for burning the biscuits. And I'll never
Forget what he said: "Honey, I love burned
Biscuits."

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good
Night and I asked him if he really liked his
Biscuits burned. He wrapped me in his
 arms
And said, "Your Momma put in a hard day at
Work today and she's real tired. And besides -
A little burnt biscuit never hurt anyone!"

Life is full of imperfect things....and
Imperfect people. I'm not the best at hardly
Anything, and I forget birthdays and
Anniversaries just like everyone else.
But what I've learned over the years is
That learning to accept each others faults -
And choosing to celebrate each others
Differences - is one of the most important
Keys to creating a healthy, growing, and
Lasting relationship.

And that's my prayer for you today. That you
Will learn to take the good, the bad, and the
Ugly parts of your life and lay them
 at the
Feet of God. Because in the end, He's the only
One who will be able to give you a relationship
Where a burnt biscuit isn't a deal-breaker!

We could extend this to any relationship. In

Fact, understanding is the base of any
Relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-
Child or friendship!

"Don't put the key to your happiness in
Someone else's pocket - keep it in your own."

God Bless You..... Now, and Always....

So Please pass me a biscuit, and yes, the burnt
One will do just fine.!.!.!.!

I Still Believe She's the One

I know the song by Bishop Trotter, "I Still Believe", is about believing in God--the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. However, I can't help but realize that I still believe she's the one for me because I don't want any other girl to have my kid yet alone to marry. I want her and only her. So every time I hear this song, I can only say I still believe in the Lord and I believe the Lord will help me move past her or will move us back to each other. Regardless I still believe in you God and know that you are making the right decisions for me regardless of what they may be.

I Still Believe

Bishop Larry D. Trotter

I Still Believe Lyrics

Lead 1:

I may not be at the place i wanna be
but i have the faith
to believe beyond what i can see
and in those time when life
seems to get the best of me
I will be strong
I keep holding on
Even though there are some things to come
that have not yet appeared
I will find strength in midst of all my tears

Chorus:

I still believe
Regardless of what my past may be
I have victory
I will outlive my pain
and start over again
I believe

Lead 2:
I come too far for me to give up on my dream
I wont let my past interfere with what God has for me
See I have decided to start over again
I will be strong
I keep holding on
Even though there are some things to come
that have not yet appeared
I will find strength in midst of all my tears

CHORUS

VAMP:
If I lost everything
I still have Jesus
That's enough to
Start over again

CHORUS

I will outlive my pain
and start over again
I believe

Feelings & Insecurities

The story of my life and why I am trying to figure out love is because of my feelings and insecurities that I used to have. As much as I tried to tell myself that I wasn't insecure I was with her more than you can imagine and she was with me. So when I saw the quote below, I knew it spoke to me and her.

Actions don't break up couples, feelings and insecurities do!
Still I am truly happy to say that my feelings and insecurities led me to have actions that resulted in me hurting her and her hurting me. Therefore it was our feelings and insecurities that made it difficult for us to survive. I know it is hard to accept but I know it is the truth. I miss her dearly but now that I'm with God, I know my feelings and insecurities are going away thanks to my belief that God is with me.

I'm seeking to be told "Well Done"

"Well done is better then well said." --Benjamin Franklin
I've been telling people that I want God tell me well done. I've told everyone that I live to hear the words "Well Done," at the pearly gates because God is who I am seeking to please. I don't want to hear well said but I want to hear my Lord tell me, "Well Done, come on in." Therefore I seek to hear those words from God and I seek to serve him every day that I am able to wake up. Thank you God for being in my life.

Fate

Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice, but falling in love with you was beyond my control. -Unknown
I know for fact that it was fate that I met her. I know meeting you was fate and I'm thankful for that. I know that becoming your friend was a choice or should I say being my friend was a choice but I know that falling for you was beyond my or your control. It was all God and I know that God wanted us to be apart of each others lives for a reason and it wasn't to hurt each other but to show that we both needed God more so than we needed each other.

I know that it was fate that God allowed us to edge him out by putting each other above him but now that we are apart, God is showing me that no one is above him because without God there is no such thing as love. Thus, I know I told you I was in love with you but that is not possible because I didn't know what it was but I am figuring it out each and every day as I go forward in life. God is truly wonderful in how he works and I only hope that you are learning the same things I am learning from our break up which is to go to God and get in his kingdom.

Without God, Our Week Would BE

Without God, our week: Mournday, Tearsday, Wasteday, Thirstday, Fightday, Shatterday and Sinday!
God is truly good and great because without God, we would probably have the days of the week named as they are above. I know yesterday was Friday and God helped me win a new digital camera at a training I was at and many people in the training probably wanted to fight me for it because they were jealous and mad they didn't win it. However because of God, Friday's are not Fightday's but they are Friday's. So I'm thankful with God and that God is over our weeks and days. I'm glad that I don't have to mournday, tearsday, wasteday, thirstday, fightday, shatterday and sinday because God is with me & is doing great things for me as I walk with the Lord all day everyday that I am on Earth.

Patience & Time

Seeing the quote below, made me realize that God is awesome all the time because he has the ultimate amount of patience and time for us his children. God's patience and time has truly allowed us as humans to time our time to come into his kingdom but at the same time, that is what makes these two things the most powerful warriors.

“The two most powerful warriors are patience and time.” ~ Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy
If God didn't have patience and time for us to get our lives together than I wouldn't even be able to speak and talk how I am talking now because God would have given up on me a long time ago. However that is not how God works. God doesn't give up on his children no matter how bad we have messed us or how many chances he has given us. God doesn't sit up & say I'm done helping you, I'm done protecting you or I'm leaving you because God never leaves you. God never left me no matter how many times I messed up or how many times I didn't do right by God. Therefore I am now stronger because of the patience and time God had with me. God's ability to be patient with us shows us that God is willing to take as long as it takes to help us get right with him. Also God doesn't put a time limit on how long he will be patient with us, which is what makes patience and time the two most powerful warriors. Thank you God for having patience and time with me as well as all of your children.

Mistakes

We all make mistakes in life but seeing the quote below made me realize that no matter how bad my mistake is, God will forgive me and his children will forgive me as long as long as I repent and seek forgiveness. Still despite all the mistakes I have made, I have learned from them and I am continuing to learn from them. In fact I am stronger because of my mistakes and I am better as a result of them. I have surely admitted and learned from my mistakes but most of all, I have been forgiven for my mistakes which I am truly grateful and thankful.
We all makes mistakes. The wise, admit & learn. The insecure, deny. The foolish, repeat. The godly, forgive them! -Rick Warren
God is truly good and I am happy to say that despite my mistakes at figuring out love, I am on the right path to figuring it out because of you Lord.
